AIDA64 implements a fixed 64-bit benchmark to some extent to determine how fast a laptop can perform a lot of fact-processing tasks and math calculations. Memory and cache benchmarks must be performed to investigate gadget RAM bandwidth and latency. Processor benchmarks use MMX, 3DNow! and SSE instructions, scalable up to 32 processor cores. For legacy processors, all benchmarks will also be performed in 32-bit models. AIDA64 Disk Benchmark determines the de facto switching speed of hard drives, solid state drives, optical drives and flash-based gadgets.

AIDA64 helps over 150+ sensor devices to measure temperature, voltage, fan speed and intensity. These values can also be logged with RivaTuner or Samurai for logging or export to external packages. AIDA64 can also alert consumers when overheating, overvoltage or cooling fan failure is detected.

The hardware detection module is enhanced with the help of an exhaustive hardware database containing over 115,000 entries.
