Opensignal speed tests
Openignal’s speed tests assess your actual experience with the mobile connection and signal. The speed test performs a 5-second download test, a 5-second upload test, and a ping test to determine how fast you are likely to achieve. The speed test is performed on common RDC servers on the Internet. The result is calculated with the average range of the samples.
Network coverage map
Check if you get the quality of the network that you pay for with your mobile network or your internet service provider. Use our coverage maps to compare networks and data speeds in your area. Opensignal works with high speed WiFi mobile internet.
Video speed tests
Slow loading times for videos? More time to wait than watch? A good average network speed is not sufficient for a quality video experience. The Openignal video test gives you an integral perspective of your network experience. Openignal’s video tests show you exactly what to expect with videos in HD and SD format.
Watch a 15-second video clip to test and record load time, buffering, and playback issues in real time.
Control how video quality changes over time and location. Check the video test results in the History section to see if your network experience has changed over time.
Improve your network connection
We provide an independent source of truth about the mobile network experience: A data source that shows how users experience mobile network speeds, games, video and voice services around the world. We do this by collecting data about the device’s signal strength, network, location, and other sensors. You can interrupt this operation at any time in the settings. We share this data with network operators around the world and others in the industry to help foster a better connection for everyone.
